Creating a community

Modified on Fri, 13 Mar at 9:43 AM

After receiving your platform login from the OW Voices Support team, you can start setting up your community.

To create a community, you must have Administrator access.

INDEX

Home Page

On the platform's home page, you will find the “+ Community” button.

When you click it, a community creation pop-up will open, where you will need to fill in some initial information.

Community Name

Enter the name that will identify your study within the platform.

Recommendation: use different names for each Community created. This makes it easier to identify and navigate between different studies.

Time Zone

Select the Community’s time zone according to the participants’ location.

Important: it is essential to fill in this field correctly, as the dates and times of the activities and the Community will be based on this time zone.

Community Scheduling Dates and Times

Select the period during which the community will be available. You must choose a start date and time (when the community will become available to participants) and an end date and time (when the community will no longer be available to participants).

Community dates play an important scheduling role. This means that when the community start date is reached, it will be automatically activated. Likewise, when the end date is reached, the community will be deactivated and will no longer be available to participants.

Keep in mind that the dates and times will follow the selected time zone. If you are in a different time zone than the one configured on the platform, make sure to consider the time difference when scheduling your community.

Recommendation: ensure that the entire study is ready to be accessed by participants before the community start date. Participants will be notified by email as soon as the community start date is reached.

Language

Define the community language. This setting will determine the language used in all buttons and instructions shown to participants in the community.
