Creating a community

Once you have received your login to the platform from the OW Voices support team, you can start programming your community.

To create a community, you need Administrator access.

Home page

On the home page you will find the “+ Community” button and from there you can fill in the settings.

At this point, all the information requested is mandatory, including the length of time the community will be available and its domain.

  • All this information can be changed in the future, the only exception being the domain.
  • The function of creating communities is only available to Administrators.

Name

On the creation page, give your community a name.

Recommendation: Create different names for each community. This allows you to navigate between studies without getting confused.

Time zone

Set the community's time zone according to the location of the participants.

It is extremely important to fill in this field correctly, as the availability deadlines for communities and activities depend on this information.

Dates and times for community appointments

Select the time the community will be available. You must select a start date and time (when the community will be available to participants) and an end date and time (when the community will no longer be available to participants).

You can change the community dates and times if necessary. Just change them and select “save”.

The dates of a community perform an important scheduling function. This means that when the community's start date is reached, it will be activated automatically. Likewise, when the end date is reached, the community will be deactivated and no longer available to participants.

Remember that the dates and times will respect your chosen time zone. If you are in a different time zone to the one configured on the platform, make sure you take the time difference into account when scheduling your community.

Recommendation: Ensure that the entire study is ready to be accessed by participants before the community start date. Participants will be notified by e-mail as soon as the community start date has been reached.

Language

Set the community language. This setting will define the texts of all community buttons and instructions shown to participants.
