Types of access - Participant

Modified on Tue, 30 Jul, 2024 at 5:08 PM

There are four different access points in OW Voices: Administrator, Moderator, Observer and Participant. Each access has different objectives and functions within the Community. Below, you'll find out more about the functions of the Participant.

Participant

Participants are the respondents in an online Community study. This access is of fundamental importance to the Community, since they will provide the necessary information and generate insights from participation in the activities and discussion forums. Learn more about what an activity and a discussion forum are.

Once your account has been created, you will be assigned to take part in activities and answer tasks developed by the study creators and participate in the forum. You can also use the chat to communicate with the community moderator(s) and administrator(s) when they contact you - conversations take place in real time.

In the main menu you can carry out all the tasks assigned to you, as well as making changes to your account. Learn more about account settings.

Feed

In the “Feed”, the Participant will be able to view all the Community assignments, as well as check the pending activities and their progress, and the Community Guide.

Activities that have not yet been finalized or even started are arranged in the first positions and activities that have already been carried out are arranged later. Note that activities that have not been started and/or completed contain the arrow icon, while those that have been completed contain the eye icon.

Important: It is essential that you complete all the activities available in your Participant account as soon as possible. Remember that there are no right or wrong answers - we want to know your opinion on the topic discussed, and for that you need to be as transparent as possible!

Next Activity

This card will inform you of your progress in the community, i.e. how many activities have been completed and how many are available. In addition, clicking on “Next Activity” will take you to the next activity you need to complete.

Community guide

This card provides information and tips on community guidelines.

Activities

In the “Activities” menu, the Participant can view a list of all the available activities, including those that have already been answered and those that have not yet been answered.

Forum

In the “Forum” menu, the Participant can interact with the posts and with the other participants in the Community, either by liking or replying to posts. As with the activities, it is essential that you interact with all the available posts.

Remember that there are no right or wrong answers - we want to know your opinion on the topic discussed, and for that you need to be as transparent as possible!

Notifications

Next to the “Forum” menu is a notification bell. In this menu you can view notifications of interactions in the Community.

Remember to check the notifications as often as possible - important information will be available from this menu.
